Riots, instability spread as food prices skyrocket

When people think about global warming's effects they only think about rising sea levels. This is kind of silly. The sea levels should rise very slowly, and that's really just an engineering problem with solutions.
The thing that scares me about global warming is food shortages. Even slightly colder, warmer, drier, or wetter conditions can destroy harvests and cause famines. Screwing with the Earth's climate will really screw with our food supply. Agricultural products have been adapted over thousands of years for certain climates. If the climate changes drastically, they won't produce good crops.
I don't think there is anyway to reverse the trend of global warming. People are too short-sighted to do anything about it. I think the above is only a taste of things to come. I'm afraid famines are only going to get worse in the third world. I think the little people like me and my family will just have to adapt to the world that is coming. Sadly a lot of people won't be able to.
